Starting with February 1st, 2017, the national gross minimal basic salary guaranteed for payment for an 8 hours/day work load is established in the amount of 1.450 lei/month.
The establishing of basic salaries below the level of 1.450 lei, for the staff employed through an individual employment contract, represents a contravention and it is sanctioned by a fine between 300 lei – 2.000 lei, for each individual employment contract which provisions a minimal salary below the above-mentioned level.
