The maximal nominal value of a meal ticket was established in amount of 15 lei starting with December 2016, according to the Law 218 of November 17^th, 2016. Until this time, the law stipulated a maximal nominal value of 9.57 lei.

We mention that the employer will be allowed to choose if it will keep granting the meal tickets at the current value of a meal ticket or it will increase it at any value up to the maximal amount of 15 lei.

The employees may use monthly a number of tickets corresponding to the number of work days of the calendar month they are present at work.
